Scholarship Information

Inspired by Dr. Mason Todd Corder’s care for his patients and passion for helping others enter the medical field, the DHS Foundation Scholarship recognizes and supports students who are continuing their studies in a healthcare-related field.

The DHS Foundation Scholarships recognize and support students who are continuing their studies in a healthcare-related field. The annual scholarship award is presented to a deserving student from Randolph, Barbour, Tucker, Upshur, Webster, or Pocahontas County.

The recipient shall be a young man or woman who has resided in West Virginia for at least four years prior to the date of the award and merits recognition for training beyond the high school level in a health-related post-secondary training program.

Scholarships will be granted to one or more students entering a two or four-year college program or pursuing a certification in the healthcare field. Consideration may be given to past recipients if merited.

The award will be made directly to the student to offset the student’s educational expenses (books, room, board, etc.).
